Program Overview
The MBBS program at MAHSA University is a five-year comprehensive medical degree designed to prepare students for global medical practice. The program is divided into two phases: Phase 1 (Years 1 & 2) focuses on foundational medical sciences, delivered through an organ-system block approach, integrating theoretical knowledge with practical skills and early clinical exposure. Phase 2 (Years 3 to 5) emphasises intensive clinical training, where students undertake rotational postings across various medical disciplines such as Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, and Psychiatry in renowned teaching hospitals, including Hospital Sungai Buloh and Hospital Kuala Lumpur. This structure ensures students receive a robust combination of academic knowledge, hands-on experience, and professional readiness to excel in their medical careers.
Curriculum Structure:
Phase 1 (Years 1 & 2): Focuses on basic medical sciences using an organ-system block approach, integrating theoretical knowledge with practical skills through early clinical exposure.
Phase 2 (Years 3 to 5): Emphasises clinical training with rotational postings across various medical disciplines at affiliated hospitals and clinics, including Hospital Sungai Buloh and Hospital Kuala Lumpur.
- Academic Qualifications: A minimum of BBB, AAC, or ABC in Advanced Level examinations, with subjects including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics.
Entry Requirements:
- A-Level/ STPM: Grades BBB, ABC, or AAC in three subjects, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics.
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD): Completion of the OSSD with Grade 12 Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics with a minimum 70% average in the required courses.
- Matriculation/Foundation in Science/Pre-Medical Course: A minimum CGPA of 3.0 in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics or Mathematics, along with five Bs in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics or Additional Mathematics, and one other subject at SPM/O-Level or equivalent.
English Proficiency:
Minimum IELTS score of 6.0 or TOEFL score of 550.
